Hello,
My name is Debbie Stidham and I am looking for a part-time work at home job. I would like to do simple typing just to make an extra 3 to 400.00 per month. I am a single mom of 2 and the father has quit paying child support. Can you help me?
Hi Debbie,
I’m sorry you are going thought a tough time like this. One of the jobs that comes to mind when I read your post would be writing articles for Demand Studios.com. You can make the kind of money you are looking for and work around your own schedule. It’s a great job for someone who has kids at home. I hope this helps. If you need anymore help, just let us know.
Hi ,
I am looking for a part-time work at home job. I would like to do simple typing just to make an extra 3 to 400.00 per month. I am a home maker .Can you help me?
Standard “typing” jobs are home are typically scams. I strongly recommend that if you come upon an “at-home-typing-job” you check with the BBB, and do online research as well. If you are unable to do “call” type work at home because of little ones, or other noise factors, then I would consider writing small articles for http://demandstudios.com You can make as much or as little as you want with them. They are reliable and they pay twice a week via paypal. However, should you apply with them, I would tweak my resume so that is it grammar and spelling error free. They also require you to upload a copy of something you’ve written. If you don’t have anything, write something up, approximately 200 words will do, on any subject you pick. Then, have a friend or family member proof read it before you send it in. The time you take to do this part, will most likely pay off in the end. If you don’t get hired, you can always reapply by using a a different email account, and reworking what you sent in the first time. If you have no work experience, look for samples online of resumes and that will help you put together a resume. We also offer resume help here at Occupational Highway. Glenn, our resume writing has helped others who are looking for a work at home job find successful at home employment with his unique resume skills. RESUME . I hope this helps, if you need any more help, or have more question, please feel free to ask.
Hi,
I have recently become a new mom and want to stay home to take care of my daughter. I have a few certificates in medical admin. assisting but haven’t had work experience with anything in the medical field since then. I don’t want to see those certificates go to waste so I’d even be willing to work as a Administrative Assistant in any other business. Do you have any advice?
Hi Mikele,
Congrats on becoming a new mom!
There are administrative jobs that you can do from home. We do post some here so please keep a watch out for them. We will try to accomodate you in posting any administrative jobs that we find, to help you with your search.
Another type of work from home job that you could check into is call center or customer service work. These type of jobs usually allow you to pick your own schedule and they have fairly decent pay.
Hi,
I was wondering if there are any companies out there, besides apple, that can can support Mac OS. I have a PC that would work for the job but since I have a Mac, I would like to find a job were I can use it in my office instead.
Hello All!
I desperately need a job (or jobs) and am having a horrific time finding anything at all! I am a single mom and have been out of work for two years now. Initially, I took time off to perform some remodeling projects around the house and a few extra months to spend with my son who will be going off to college next year. My qualifications and experience are in the project management/product development (programming)/test/quality assurance and process improvement arenas. I have over ten years of solid experience and am extremely hard working and take a great amount of pride in my work ethics and finished product(s). The wall I am running into is the ‘I haven’t used my skills recently enough’ to warrant even an interview. I am a smart, problem solving, process oriented person who is feeling very lost without a job, let alone a paycheck as I have no income and finances are all but non-existent. I can and will do anything, and do it well. I welcome any and all legitimate suggestions and/or recommendations. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance for your honest thoughts and feedback! Have a fabulous day. ~A
Hi Any,
I do know that Arise Virtual Solutions supports Mac. Click Here to view their work at home opportunities.
Amy,
There are many jobs that you could do in the meantime until you find exactly what you are looking for.
I always recommend call center work for anyone looking for a steady paycheck from home. LiveOps and West are great places to look into. We also have many more call center companies listed in our forum that you could try to contact. It may help get you by until you land that job you are needing. And, if you have any interest in writing, there are so many writing/blogging jobs out there that pay per article written. That is another suggestion on something that may work to help you make a few bucks in the meantime. Never give up, continue to send out your resumes and something will come your way. We will seek out jobs in those categories that you listed and post them on our site as we find them. Good luck to you and thanks for the suggestions on the types of work you are looking for. We will do our best to try to find some of these types of jobs for you to apply for.
I applied at Arise but was not ready. I am however working with 1800flowers in a seasonal position building my skills.
At the moment I am really wanting to have multiple projects that offer stable work and also offer me the choice to complete a project by a deadline, opposed to a daily live routine. I am satisfied doing cs but I have found that I want more out of this field.
What are some options for me to gain good experience to place myself in better positions in the future?
Any,
Do you have any interest in writing? Demand Studios is a great place to work. There are so many categories to write about and you don’t have to be a professional writer to start doing this work. They have specific guidelines for you to follow for each article you write. It’s a great way to build experience in another area of work and make some extra money. You decide how much you want to work. You can write as many articles as you like.
TYVM! I do like to write and will look into it.
I would love to find a job where I can work from home without talking on the phone but processing data.
Hello! I recently graduated from Kaplan University with my degree in medical transcription. I am looking high and low for a part time transcription job that I am able to do around my children’s school schedule. I would also be open to doing other kinds of transcription: entertainment, veterinary, general, or any other categories. I am currently researching the requirements to become an independent contractor to hopefully open some more doors.
Hi Catherine! Congrats of graduating from Kaplan! We list many transcription jobs on our site. If you’d like to search to find the recent ones we have posted, just type in transcription in the search box. A few places that hire for transcription are MedQuist, InScribe, SoftScript……… You can also click on our rss feed and have our daily job listings go directly to your email so you can see any transcription jobs that come available that we find. Good luck on your search!
I am looking for a full time work from home position entering data or searching websites for broken links or something that will keep me busy. I am preparing to return to school after graduating from UOP in 2008, losing my father in 2009 and leaving the state in 2009. I am ready for a new beginning and want to prove to my husband that there are Telecommuting jobs out that that exist. He thinks I am crazy because I have searched high and low for a telecommuting position with no success.
Hello,
I am a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. I love to write. I have great employment training skills, such as teaching interview techniques, resume writing etc. I also know a great deal about helping people with disabilities to find employment. Do you ever come accross any work from home jobs in this area?
Hi Penny,
a
Demand Studios, http://demandstudios.com is a great place for freelance writers. They pay fairly well, they pay twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays via paypal. They are truly a great company to work for. As far as I’m concerned, they are in the top ten of the best work at home jobs in the market. I strongly suggest you take your time if and when you decided to apply for a writing position with them. Check and double check your sample writing, as well as your resume. I hope this helps and good luck to you.
Hello,
Over 15 yrs ago I received an Office Administration and Technology certificate from a local community college and have worked as a receptionist, secretary, data entry operator and even worked in a call center for 15 months.
Right now I have a part time job that pays min. wage and this fall I will be going back to college for my Health Information Technology certificate so that I can become a medical coder.
In the meantime, and while in school, I would love to be able to work from home either part or full time to supplement my income / financial aid. I have been looking for a legitimate business or job that doesn’t require any upfront fees and actually pays at least min wage or more and that I would be able to work around my full time college schedule.
Kristeen,
Have you tried doing any writing jobs? Demand Studios is a great place to work and you can work whenever you’d like. The pay is decent, you get paid per article you write. You don’t have to be a professional writer to work for them. Just prove you have some ability and they have guidelines that you follow.
I see you have done some call center work already, but some of the call center jobs pay well also. LiveOps is a good one to check into. Not sure what call center you previously worked for.
Hopefully that helps you out a bit in finding work. View our list of WAH Companies. That may help you find some ideas too.
Good luck to you!
Thank you for the suggestions! I will look into Demand Studios.
